These Subscription, Billing, Cancellation, and Refund Terms ("Billing Terms") apply to paid HabitatOS subscriptions, trials, paid features, entitlement tiers, and related purchases. These Billing Terms are part of the HabitatOS Terms of Use and are between you and Paladin Labs LLC, an Indiana limited liability company ("Paladin Labs," "HabitatOS," "we," "us," or "our").
If these Billing Terms conflict with mandatory Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, or other applicable payment-platform rules, the mandatory platform rules control only for that conflict.
HabitatOS may offer free and paid subscription tiers. Paid tiers may include expanded limits, additional recordkeeping features, passport features, sensor features, public sharing features, advanced care tools, or other functionality described in the app or applicable app-store listing.
The specific names, limits, features, pricing, availability, and renewal periods of paid tiers may vary by platform, country, promotion, app-store listing, beta program, or release version.
We may add, remove, rename, or modify paid features over time. If a change materially affects an active paid subscription, we will provide notice where required by applicable law or platform policy.
HabitatOS subscriptions may be purchased through Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or another app-store or payment platform. When you purchase through a third-party platform, that platform may process your payment information, manage renewals, handle taxes, provide receipts, determine refund eligibility, and control subscription cancellation mechanics.
We do not directly collect or store full credit card numbers or payment card security codes through HabitatOS. We may receive subscription-related metadata, such as subscription tier, entitlement status, RevenueCat customer ID, entitlement ID, expiration date, renewal status, verification status, and trial information, so we can determine your access to paid features.
Paid subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date according to the rules of the applicable platform.
You are responsible for reviewing the subscription terms shown at purchase, including price, billing period, renewal period, trial terms, and cancellation instructions.
If your payment method fails or your subscription cannot be verified, paid features may be suspended, downgraded, or placed into a grace period, depending on platform behavior and HabitatOS entitlement rules.
HabitatOS may offer free trials, promotional access, beta access, invite-based trials, or other temporary access to paid features.
Trial length, eligibility, renewal behavior, and conversion terms may vary. Some trials may be managed by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or another platform. Other limited trials may be granted directly by HabitatOS, such as invite-based trials or internal testing access.
Free, promotional, beta, owner, support, or internal-testing access may be modified, limited, or revoked at any time unless otherwise required by law or a written agreement.
You may cancel an app-store subscription through the applicable platform account settings, such as your Apple App Store account or Google Play account. Cancellation steps, deadlines, confirmation screens, and post-cancellation access are controlled by the applicable platform.
Deleting the HabitatOS app, deleting your HabitatOS account, disabling paid features, or contacting HabitatOS support may not automatically cancel an app-store subscription. You must cancel through the platform that bills you unless we expressly provide another cancellation method for that purchase.
After cancellation, you may continue to have access to paid features until the end of the current paid billing period, unless the applicable platform or law provides otherwise.
Refunds for purchases made through Apple, Google, or another app-store/payment platform are generally handled by that platform according to its own refund policies.
Except where required by law or the applicable platform's rules, HabitatOS does not provide refunds, credits, prorated refunds, or credits for partial subscription periods, unused features, accidental purchases, account inactivity, app removal, device loss, or failure to cancel before renewal.
If a platform issues a refund, reverses a charge, or reports a failed payment, HabitatOS may adjust, revoke, or downgrade the associated paid entitlements.
Subscription prices may vary by country, currency, platform, billing period, promotion, taxes, app-store fees, and local requirements. The price shown at checkout by the applicable platform is the price that applies to your purchase.
Taxes, regulatory fees, currency conversion, payment-method fees, or platform charges may be calculated and collected by the applicable billing platform.
We may change subscription pricing from time to time. Price changes for existing subscriptions will be handled according to the rules of the applicable platform and applicable law.
HabitatOS uses subscription and entitlement verification to determine access to paid features. If subscription status cannot be verified due to platform outages, provider failures, missing verification data, payment issues, or technical problems, HabitatOS may temporarily continue access, place the account in a grace period, send subscription notices, or downgrade access.
We may send transactional notices related to subscription verification, grace periods, failed verification, upcoming loss of paid access, or entitlement changes.
Paid-feature access is not guaranteed if the subscription cannot be verified or if the applicable platform reports that the subscription is expired, canceled, refunded, revoked, unpaid, or otherwise inactive.
Deleting your HabitatOS account does not necessarily cancel a subscription billed by Apple, Google, or another third-party billing platform. You are responsible for canceling your subscription through the platform that bills you. If you delete your HabitatOS account while a subscription remains active, the platform may continue billing until you cancel the subscription according to that platform's process.
If you purchased a HabitatOS subscription through Apple, Google, or another platform, your purchase may also be governed by that platform's terms, conditions, and policies.
You should review the applicable platform's current subscription, cancellation, refund, and billing terms before purchasing or canceling a subscription.
Paid HabitatOS features, including sensor features, alerts, reminders, passport tools, care summaries, automation-related features, and advanced recordkeeping features, are informational and organizational tools only. Paid access does not make HabitatOS an emergency monitoring system, veterinary service, medical service, life-safety system, animal-safety guarantee, or substitute for direct observation, professional judgment, or veterinary care.
We may update these Billing Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice where required by law or platform policy.
Your continued use of paid features after updated Billing Terms are posted or become effective means you accept the updated Billing Terms.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content or services within fourteen (14) days. Because subscriptions are sold and billed through the applicable app store or payment platform, withdrawal, cancellation, and refund requests are handled according to that platform's process and the rights provided under applicable law. Where you ask us to begin providing a subscription immediately and acknowledge that you may lose the withdrawal right once performance has begun, the statutory withdrawal right may no longer apply. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer.
